About the Parish |

The Vellathooval Church,
instituted in the name of St. George, is situated in
the 18th ward of Konnathadi Grama Panchayathu in
Idukki district. The parishioners are residing in
Konnathadi and Vellathooval areas. Two power houses
of KSEB, namely Chengulam Power house and Panniyar
power house are located on either side of the

|
The parish communion had come
into existence in Vellathooval on 28th August 1960,
when Rev. Fr. George Nedungattu conducted the holy
mass in a makeshift shed. It was a time, when
construction works of both the power houses of KSEB
was in progress and the Vellathooval was soon
