About the Parish |

Locality: St. Joseph Church,
Thannipuzha is situated between Perumpavoor and
Kaladi, on the side of M C Road. Kaladi and
Thannipuzha are at the both sides of river Periyar.
The feast of parish Patron St. Joseph is being
celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year.

Church History |

Parishes of Angamali,
Udhayamperur, Edapally, Malayatoor and Kanjuoor were
established in AD 450, 510, 593, 900 and 1001
respectively. Vallam parish was separated from
Kanjuoor parish in 1401. Thannipuzha parish was
established in 1939, which was part of Vallom parish

Feast of St. Martin de Pores is
celebrated on the last Sunday of November |

Mass for the dead is celebrated on 30th
Nov. at the cemetery. The offerings of that day
is collected and given to nearby old age homes,
centers of mentally retarded people, orphanages
etc. |
