In 883, a church was established
in the name of Virgin Mother at Pazhuvil, the land
of fruits. It had the shape of an old temple. Later
on it became Pazhayur. The church always got special
consideration from the King of Kochi, and the
remains of the old Pazhuvam Petta (market)
sanctioned by the king are still found there ...... |
