Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday observance starts with the Holy Mass at
7.00am. During the Holy Mass tender coconut leaves are
blessed after the rite of the Word of God and a
procession also follows remembering the royal entry of
Jesus to Jerusalem. Fr. Vicar is the main celebrant of
the Holy Mass. |

Good Friday
Good Friday commemoration starts at 7.00am
presided by a senior priest of the monastery. Reading
of the Passion narrative is very solemn. The way of
the cross, a procession carrying the statue of the
corpse of Jesus are followed and the whole ceremony
lasting for about three hours ends with the kissing of
the statue and the tasting of a bitter herbal juice |
