Erattayar is a beautiful village
of Udumpanchola taluk in Idukki district. Since
1957, many people from Kottayam, Kanjirappally and
Meenachil were migrated to this place. In 1957, Rev.
Fr. Joseph Kakkuzhy, the then Vicar of Nedumkandam
Church offered Holy Mass in a thatched shed near the
