Convents and schools
On 2 June 1940, a convent in the name of St Jemma
started in a rented building with eight sisters. Mar
Vazhappally took special interest in its foundation
because it had been the first convent in the name of
St Jemma after her canonization. On 3 June a school
was also inaugurated in a thatched shed with two
divisions in standard one. ........

|
It is widely believed that the Old Testament Jews
used to incorporate their history and their
genealogy into devotional songs and transmit them to
subsequent generations. If one asked a child about
his parentage he might probably sing such a song
linking himself to a long line of forefathers from
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob down to his father. It is
in fact those songs that find place in the Bible as
the genealogies ........
